Living is doing for many of us. We wake up and we start doing. Sitting back and just being is a difficult task for many. So many times it has happened that we intend to just put our feet up and read a book. We start well but within a few minutes, we are up for something or the other. In this respect, I feel practicing yoga, helps bring stability to the mind and body. With regular practice we become more centred and connected to ourselves and as we stay connected we start to be rather than do. Green Goodness Yoga helps you connect with the right services by educating you and providing you with enough information, so you make the right choice.
Yoga is known for the fantastic benefits it has on the body and the mind, body, soul connection. Most yoga sessions are concluded with a 15 to 20 minutes of breath work. Breathing deeply and correctly improves overall body functioning and most important removes stale and toxic energy that tend to accumulate within the body, due to constant exposure to stress. Constantly doing is also related to too much noise in the head. When we are overloaded with thoughts and our brain is constantly churning ideas and thoughts, we are unable to sit quietly for a prolonged period. Yoga techniques that include chanting of the ‘om” mantra remove the static noise in the head. As you remove the static noise in your head and focus your mind, you’ll find that you’re able to remember things, concentrate, and perform much better.
While yoga connects the mind body and soul , meditation connects you with yourself and your inner truth. All answers lie within us. When we meditate, we open the channels of communication between ourselves and the spirit. Meditation brings the brainwave pattern into an alpha state that promotes healing. A healed mind is a calm mind, devoid of innumerable thoughts. Once the thoughts cease, the mind can become still. A still mind allows us to be, rather than do. Thus we learn the art of just being.
